The Attorneys - “Stay”

Posted in Uncategorized by aditya on January 20th, 2006

Three Boys from Brooklyn charge into the musical fray with melancholy, multilayered vocals and a canny combination of staccato riffs and expansive atmosphere.

William Ryan George had complete strangers of both sexes proclaiming their love of him when he made his first appearance at The King of Karaoke’s Trash Bar Friday Night. His fragile yet complex demeanor is gentle and approachable, and so is his songwriting . A Brian Wilson for generation Y.

John Wlaysewski is making waves in the indie guitar community with his double mono split delay amp setup, used to great effect on instrumental numbers that have the mensa members in the audience scratching their heads. A self taught musical experimentalist , he has been compared to The Edge and Robert Fripp in the same sentence.

Colin Schiller has navigated the musical landscape of NYC and is known throughout New York, NJ and all of Long Island. His martial, deliberate drum style and commitment to creativity guarantee that every song has been exhausted of options before drum decisions are made. A timing genius and a rock god in the making, Colin will often come out from behind the drum set to sing with the rest of the band.

Alan Robert - “Things Gotta Change”

Posted in Uncategorized by aditya on January 5th, 2006

Raised in Kentucky and born during the worst blizzard in thirty years, Alan Robert tries to make sense among the ruins with the only tools available, his mind and voice. Moved from Kentucky to Los Angeles and fell in with the right crowd. Not a preacher or a prophet. Just a songwriter who enjoys sharing his time’s labors and offers a great time while doing it.

Harpooning listeners with his soulful mix of haunting ballads and life-altering guitar licks, Alan Robert walks the fine line between genius and insanity- and he walks it well. Tantalized fans from around the globe may not be able to place his mystifying lyrics or unique vocal presentation into one category but all would agree that his insoluble serenades fill their snowshoes with the kind of warm gooey richness of a fireplace nap coupled with a marmalade sandwich served on two slices of a rainbow.

Band Members:
Alan Robert - Vocals and rhythm/lead guitar.
Ian Leith - Bass and back-up vocals, lead.
Nate Kivette - drums
