Derek Clegg - “Tonight”

Posted in Uncategorized by aditya on July 25th, 2006

This may be Derek’s first official cd, but this should not leave one to believe that music is something that Derek has just fallen into. This cd has been 5 years in the making. Pulling from early influences such as Dave Matthews and Ben Harper, then fusing it with the quirky and twangy guitars often found in such artists as Ryan Adams and Wilco, Derek developed a sound that is not easily categorized. Just when you hear one song and think you have his style down, the next song leads to thinking of an entire new set of influences. The self titled cd shows just how far recording has come in the home studio setting, and pushes it ever further in its commercial appeal and character.

Bill Reveles - “Creep Inside”

Posted in Uncategorized by aditya on July 25th, 2006

Songwriting turned sideways. Classic, Traditional…yes. Schizophrenic…maybe. Neurotic…definitely. Folk-Rock, AAA, Alt Country, Rock and Pop depending on the moment. The songs, with their painfully real lyrics, have been characterized as reminiscent of John Lennon’s edgier solo stuff and his slower songs and lyrics as that of Bruce Springsteen. It has been said that his passionate voice reminds one of a male version of Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders.

Band Members:
Bill Reveles - Guitar, vocals
Tim Godwin - Guitar
Jim Christie - Drums
Taras Prodaniuk- Bass
Gia Ciambotti - Background Vocals

Kirsten DeHaan - “Russian Roulette”

Posted in Uncategorized by aditya on July 19th, 2006

Wanting to have her music heard, Kirsten created SirLady Records in 2004, and has stormed onto the New York indie circuit by creating a series Indie Rock Launches which celebrate the city’s independent rock scene. In addition, her music has quickly captivated audiences throughout the U.S. and abroad by its honest view on America’s pysche. Kirsten’s been noted to embrase the sounds of Stevie Nicks, Belly, Donnelly, Janis Joplin, and Dave Mathews, through her own vision and ear. Originally from Indiana and now a permanent resident of New York, Kirsten continually proves that her distinctive voice and unique songwriting are simply undeniable to ignore. In just two months, ‘Conform’ is now heard on over seventy-five college, Triple A, and Internet radio stations throughout the U.S. and abroad.
